Wildlife Watch Training –Wildlife Watch, a vital program of Wild Aware, enters its 8th season with the annual kick-off of volunteer training on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Evergreen Lake lawn, 29612 Upper Bear Creek Rd, Evergreen, Co . This important wildlife mission aids the elk by protecting their ritual of birthing babies on the grassy islands in Evergreen Lake. Volunteers take turns educating lake visitors about the dangers of getting too close to mommas with babies during the calving season with volunteers beginning on May 17 through June 23, 2024, weekends only.
