We welcome all Health Care Advocates & Licensed Clinicians to the table to learn and engage in understanding family dynamics in Hospice and Palliative Care.
Hospice is a philosophy of care focusing on symptoms. The symptoms can be physical, emotional, spiritual or social. Hospice is caring with the heart through the hands, embracing humanity in an environment that provides rest and comfort. Hospice care emphasizes palliative rather than curative treatment, affirming life and regarding the transition to death as a normal process for the living.
Objectives: After completion of this program participants will be able to:
« Define Hospice and Palliative Care
« Identify the different roles and responsibilities in Hospice Care
« Identify resources and professional organizations for obtaining more information about Hospice and Palliative Care
Two for One Special if registration received by April 6th, 2010~ $ 40.00 includes lunch. Please photocopy for each person attending.
