Name: Helping Teens Thrive...Together: A Virtual Conference for Teens and Their Trusted Adults
Date: March 6, 2021
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM MST
Event Description:
Helping Teens Thrive...Together is a new virtual conference for teens and their trusted adult(s) to come together and learn how to prevent suicide through promoting connectedness and skill building.  Suicide is the leading cause of death in Colorado for youth, ages 10-24, and prevention is key to increase protective factors and save lives. After 30 years of supporting parents through Jefferson Center’s Helping Kids Thrive Conference, community partners have come together to plan a sibling event designed for teens and their trusted adults.  Coordinated by the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties, the event brings together programs, resources, and skills to promote connectedness between teens and trusted adults, a proven method for reducing suicide in youth.
