Evergreen Trail Races: 10-Mile Race, 2 Mile Fun-Run through Fall Foliage

Gather family and friends and run or walk through brilliant foliage this Saturday, Oct. 6, in Evergreen Park & Recreation District's Lair o' the Bear Trail Race.


THE PRICE HAS BEEN CUT so the whole family can enjoy a beautiful fall morning running or walking through along Bear Creek in Lair o' the Bear Park, a Jeffco Open Space Park just 25 minutes from downtown Denver.


10-Miler
Tackle a challenging ten-mile race from the Lair o' the Bear parking lot up the Bear Creek trail and back. There is a "GU" and water station at the hilltop turnaround.

The race features merchandise prizes for top finishers, including gift certificates from Boulder Running Company, Boone Mountain Sports, Seasonally Yours and Dick's Sporting Goods. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female, as well as to the top three men and women in the following age divisions: Under 20; 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.

COST: $30 (no additional charge race day)


2-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Enjoy a flat, family-friendly 2-mile Fun Run/Walk from the Lair main parking lot, along scenic Bear Creek through brilliant fall foliage to Little Park in Idledale and back. All kids who finish will receive medals and Baskin Robbins $2 gift cards.
