All ages and abilities welcome!! Join botanist/birder Chuck Aid for our Flowers of the Subalpine Walk on July 20, from 8:00 ? 12:00 PM. We will be visiting a portion of the Bear Creek Watershed up at about 9000 ft. Our pace will be leisurely, and we will work on plant identifications and characteristics of plant families and plant communities.
Bring adequate water, a snack, rain gear, and appropriate layers; and meet at the Evergreen Library at 8:00 AM. We will carpool from here for the 40-minute drive up to the Camp Rock Campground, where there can be limited parking. If you have a favorite field guide to the Rocky Mountain flora, please bring it along as well.
