The Venue Theatre Company presents "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Stre
The Venue Theatre Company presents "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street", performed by the high-school company, directed by Nelson Conway, choreographed by Maryjean Fowler, and accompanied by Deb Christensen. The rare instance of a musical thriller, Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's chilling, suspenseful, heart-pounding masterpiece of murderous barber-ism and culinary crime tells the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe! Sophisticated, macabre, visceral and uncompromising, SWEENEY TODD nevertheless has a great sense of fun, mixing intense drama with howlingly funny moments of dark humor: audiences find themselves laughing hysterically one moment and gasping in surprise the next. John Fielder Celebration 50 Years of the Wilderness Act
The Jefferson County Historical Society and Hiwan Homestead Museum are excited to announce a special slide show presentation by John Fielder on Saturday, April 5 at 1 PM at The Place in Evergreen, located at 27888 Meadow Drive. Fielder’s presentation is part of a 2014 Colorado statewide tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of America's Wilderness Act. The tour features a 75-minute slide show with over 200 of John's favorite wilderness images made in the past 40 years, accompanied by beautiful music, entitled A Celebration of 50 Years of Colorado Wilderness. Events include a book sale and signing of all of John’s Colorado books and calendars, including a new edition of his best-selling book Mountain Ranges of Colorado celebrating Wilderness 50, and a special Colorado Wilderness 50 Poster. Thirty percent of book sales are returned to sponsoring non-profit organizations.
On September 3, 1964 President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law the Wilderness Act. This historic bill established the National Wilderness Preservation System and set aside an initial 9.1 million acres of wildlands for the use and benefit of the American people. Over the past 50 years, as a result of America’s support for wilderness, Congress has added over 100 million acres to this unique land preservation system. In Colorado, 3.6 million acres have been protected as wilderness since 1964, including such diverse lands as the Maroon Bells, Gunnison Gorge, Flat Tops, Great Sand Dunes, and much of Rocky Mountain National Park. Colorado’s wilderness achievement includes 43 separate wilderness areas, each with a story, a story of citizens working together to permanently protect some of the most iconic places in our state.
Advance reservations are required; tickets are $15 per person. Please call Hiwan Homestead Museum at 720-497-7650 for reservations and information. Checks should be made out to the Jefferson County Historical Society (JCHS) and sent to the Museum at 4208 S. Timbervale Drive, Evergreen, CO 80439. Proceeds will benefit the Jefferson County Historical Society and its efforts to preserve its historic photograph collection, housed at Hiwan Homestead Museum. Hiwan Homestead Museum is a 25-room log mansion constructed in the Rustic style of architecture. The Museum is a Jefferson County Parks facility operated in partnership with the Jefferson County Historical Society. The Museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. StageDoor Theatre Presents The Wedding Singer
The Wedding Singer, featuring the Conifer StageDoor Theatre's High School Company, opens April 18 and runs through May 3, 2014. The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. It's the '80s. Robbie Hart is the life of the party - he's a wedding singer. His dreams of being a rock-star are long gone. When his fiancé leaves him standing at the alter, his heart is shattered and his focus turns to making every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a charming waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. Directed by Kelly McAllister Music Directed by Tanner Kelly Choreographed by Meg Glatthar Music by Matthew Sklar Book by Chad Beguelin & Tim Herlihy Lyrics by Chad Beguelin Based on a New Line Cinema film by Tim Herlihy Rated PG-1

Early Morning Edition Leads Group
Value
Compare the value of print advertising to word of mouth advertising. Most people are more comfortable doing business with individuals known to them or their friends. This is a great way to increase your word of mouth advertising and develop repeat business.
Great Referrals
A good referral offers the opportunity to do business with someone who is known to be in the market to buy your product or service. Referrals are not guaranteed sales; however they offer an opportunity to meet face to face with someone who is already interested in your product or service. Referrals build on your existing prospecting efforts. This expanded network is a great opportunity to add to your database of potential business.
Get Involved
The chamber leads groups are a good way to get involved with other local business people and embers can provide access to clients you would not otherwise be able to contact. Also, members have the opportunity to advertise what specials, opportunities, and products or services they have to offer. Leads groups are a great way to create new business and generate new leads! Join one of our great leads groups today!
