Event Description:
We'll begin with hot dogs around the fire and then head out for a wintry adventure in the nature preserve. Bundle up and join us at Lookout Mountain Nature Center for this fun, one-mile hike to learn more about ecology, history, cold weather safety/preparedness, and more. Family/All Ages. Program is best suited for children ages 6-12 years with an adult; however, children of all ages are welcome. This program will be outside for the full 2 1/2 hours, please dress in warm layers...hats, gloves, ski pants, winter boots, etc. Be well prepared to play in the cold & snow! Hot dog roast will be from 12:00 - 12:30 pm, activities start at 12:30 pm. Hot dogs and buns will be provided including some gluten free buns & veggie dogs. If you have specific dietary requirements/preferences please plan to bring your own lunch to enjoy around the fire.
