Time: 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM MDT
Event Description:
On Wednesday, May 21, Evergreen Trout Unlimited welcomes Nick Ross as our featured speaker at our Monthly Meeting. Nick was born in Pueblo, Colorado and grew up fishing the Arkansas and South Platte drainages. He says he was "born to fly fish". When it became time for college he moved to Gunnison, CO pursuing college as a secondary option, but principally fly fishing. He then spent the next 7 years on and off guiding in Colorado, Montana and Alaska honing many different fly fishing techniques. Finally, he decided to call Durango "home" because of the big browns that prowl the Animas River. In his spare time he admits an addiction to saltwater flats fishing, when the opportunity arises. Like most guides, his days off are spent on the river testing out his own patterns trying to push the boundaries with the big fish. He also ties for Rainy's Flies and Supplies. Join us for dinner at 6:30pm, brief Chapter business at 7:00pm and Nick's presentation at 7:15pm. As usual, we meet at Beau Jo's Pizza in downtown Evergreen. Thanks!
