Event Description:
Want to deepen your love of the natural world, notice nature?s tiniest details, and spend time surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors? Then start keeping a sketchbook nature journal! Join us for a free journaling field trip in a Jeffco Open Space Park each month and make this activity a habit. The light of the full moon will illuminate our journal pages as we explore techniques for capturing nature's wintry nighttime scenes. An indoor potluck dinner and instruction session will be followed by time to draw outdoors. When hands get chilly, we can retreat back to the nature Center to refill our hot cocoa cups and put finishing touches on our sketches. Family/All ages (content will be geared towards adults but kids are welcome. They must be accompanied by an adult.) Please bring the following items: Your own sketchbook, a pencil, and any other art supplies you would like to use. We will also have some art materials to share. Water A bowl, spoon, fork, and potluck item for dinner An email will be sent out if the program needs to be changed or cancelled due to hazardous weather.
