The “why” behind the artists:

The quality of the work and its ability to communicate beyond its physical form.

The aesthetic. Minimal.

Organic. Authentic. Human.

The artists themselves.

A sense of quietude.

And, unspoken truth.

in one space. is a curated exhibition featuring the work of Michele Renée Ledoux, Erica Iman, Pam Caidin, and Judith Eastburn. Although each artist works in a different medium—encaustic wall sculptures, ceramic vessels, mixed metal jewelry, and gelatin silver prints—the aesthetics and sensibilities of these artists converge in a beautiful collection of contemporary art.

Our guest curator, Michele Renée Ledoux is an Evergreen resident. Her work is held in numerous private collections and has been widely exhibited nationally and internationally, garnering multiple “Best of Show” awards. Michele uses beeswax and fire to create primarily black and white abstract contemporary paintings using an ancient technique, encaustic painting. Michele has gathered three other women who have all been to Colorado at one time or another—winning awards at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.

Pam Caidin is from Santa Fe, NM. Her sculptural jewelry is an exploration of natural and manmade patterns, in concert with primordial forms. Bronze, silver, copper and nickel are hand pierced and overlaid onto fine silver, or sterling is electro-etched in relief, then hand formed into hollow shapes, interspersed with gold and silver elements.

Judith Eastburn is from Des Moines, IA. Judith’s images are gelatin silver prints and are printed from negatives in the darkroom. Many of her photographs in this exhibition are from a series originally titled “Elevators and Open Spaces.” Judith believes that we are profoundly affected by the landscape of our childhood. It establishes our sense of space and how we fit into it, and we recognize as familiar those places encountered later in life that resemble it.

Erica Iman is from Kansas City, KS. Erica makes hand-built, one-of-a-kind vessels that are often reflective of forms or fragments found in nature. She enjoys the raw material properties of clay and minerals and is continuously experimenting with these materials and processes to advance her work.

The work of these four artists together in one space. will comprise a stunning exhibition for art collectors and appreciators alike.
