Event Description:
At Dinosaur Ridge on Saturday June 14, 2014 from 10am to 2pm join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge for National Get Outdoors Day. Free hands-on activities such as gold panning, fossil sifting, metal detecting and dinosaur track painting will be available at the Visitor Center! Try geode cracking and sluicing for a nominal charge. Visit the Geocaching Colorado booth to learn about geocaching, borrow a GPS and search for geocaches and earthcaches hidden on Dinosaur Ridge. On the trail, guides will explain the geology and fossils along Dinosaur Ridge. Biking or hiking the trail is free or take the shuttle for $4/per person, 3 & under ride free.
