Dam Ducky Derby in downtown Evergreen

The Dam Ducky Derby and Carnival, now in its sixth year, annually draws 3,500 visitors.  A fire truck drops numbered ducks from above the dam to the creek below. As the rubber ducks race down Bear Creek, spectators follow the flow of thousands of ducks as they approach the finish line at Highland Haven. Children become part of the activity as they help collect the ducks at the end for another round the next year. 

Anyone can participate by buying ducks, and are given unique numbers. The winning duck numbers are documented as they cross the finish line, and cash prizes and sponsor gifts are awarded to the holders of the speediest of the successful ducks.

SHUTTLE SERVICE:  Three shuttle buses will run between Downtown and the following parking locations:  Church of the Hills (across from the library on Buffalo Park Road) Hiwan Museum (RTD lot on Meadow Drive), and the RTD lot near Christ the King Church (Highway 74 near Dedisse Park).  Three buses mean shorter wait times!! There will also be street parking and some parking spaces in the Downtown parking lot. Main street will be open.

Kid's activities will have a $1 $2 or $3 charge.  T-shirts and other Duck merchandise will be on sale.

AMERICAN LEGION POST will sell hotdogs, hamburgers  brats and soft drinks.

Proceeds from the Duck Sales will support area non-profit organizations, and will be used to fund the annual Evergreen Downtown Holiday Walk on Friday December 4, 2015.
