Baehrden Historic Lodge Tours

Explore a unique time in Jefferson County by visiting the historic Baehrden Lodge. Built in 1927, Baehrden Lodge is a classic representation of the rustic Colorado Alpine style of architecture. Explore the renovated porch, great hall, and dining room. Take a closer look at the carvings of wildlife in the wood and wrought iron light fixtures. Dates and times in July include: Wednesday, July 13th at 11 am and 12:30 pm and Sunday, July 17th at 11 am and 12:30 pm. Please park in the upper parking lot at Pine Valley Ranch Park and go up the stairs that are located across from the parking lot. There will be a small A-frame sign pointing to the stairs. The stairs up to the lodge are very steep. The trail from the parking lot to the front door is approximately 350 ft with a 60 ft elevation gain. This is considered a hard trail. If you feel that you are unable to walk up the stairs a ride may be arranged. There will still be a short walk from the vehicle to the front door. Please make sure you have someone to assist you. Please let us know beforehand if you will need a ride up to the lodge. The lodge can be quite cold, please dress in layers. Bathrooms are located in the lower parking lot; there are NO BATHROOMS at the lodge. If you can't join a tour in July, keep checking our scheduling for more tours next month.
